With his mathematical prowess, Matt soon began playing in bridge tournaments and fell in love with the game of bridge. For the past 27 years, he has been director of various bridge clubs – the past 18 years as director of his own Harbourview Bridge Club in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. Although, he continues to travel frequently overseas to represent Australia as he has done for 30+ years. Throughout his distinguished bridge-playing career, Matt has won numerous world bridge championship medals and national bridge championships and he continues to enjoy teaching the game of bridge in Sydney to others.
