Director Matt Mullamphy

As a champion bridge player, Matt Mullamphy’s first experience of bridge was as a twelve year old, living in Townsville. His family would play bridge together of an evening, with his older brother – now highly renowned bridge director, Sean Mullamphy – teaching him the techniques of the game.

With his mathematical prowess, Matt soon began playing in bridge tournaments and fell in love with the game of bridge. For the past 16 years, he has been director of various bridge clubs – the past 6 years as director of his own Harbourview Bridge Club in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. Although, he continues to travel frequently overseas to represent Australia as he has done for 25 years. Throughout his distinguished bridge-playing career, Matt has won numerous world bridge championships and national bridge championships and he continues to enjoy teaching the game of bridge in Sydney to others.
