In this difficult time, as we all come to miss the game that has brought much pleasure to our everyday lives, Harbourview Bridge Club is keeping in touch with our players through a daily newsletter including quizzes, updates and funny antedotes. Make sure that you subscribe on our webpage to receive daily emails.

Commencing next week, Matt will be hosting 40 minute Webinars on different topics. We have commenced our trials in order to iron out any issues and we will aim to run a dress rehearsal – without makeup or a tightrope – by Tuesday for up to 100 people to join.

Effective immediately, the Harbourview Bridge Club is suspending all bridge sessions.

Your health is of the utmost concern and with most players in the critical age group, we deem it to be prudent at this stage to not place anyone at further risk.

If you are not on our mailing list please subscribe. We will keep you informed, send you daily bridge problems and do our best to entertain, while we wait this insidious disease out.

Stay safe, take care of your loved ones and those who need your support.

You are in our thoughts

The team at Harbourview

As you will be aware the coronavirus,  Covid-19,continues to spread, causing anxiety in the community.

We need to be especially vigilant to minimize the risk of spreading the virus to our club members and their families.

To that end, we would ask:

*If you have travelled to (including transiting through) any of the following countries

Higher Risk:  Mainland China, Iran, South Korea and Italy

Moderate Rosk: Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, Thailand,

Please Do Not attend the Club for a period of 14 days.

*Anyone with a cold or cough should not attend the Club. Please contact your medical practitioner and isolate yourself for 14 days – even if you are well.

*Members need to be vigilant about washing their hands and using sanitiser to minimise the risk of spreading the virus.

*If you have been in close contact with a proven case of coronavirus you must self isolate for 14 days.

We are not being alarmist. Rather being pro-active to ensure our club provides a safe environment for our members so we can all continue to do what we love, play bridge!

Tuesday afternoons will be scored with Red Points from 4th February.  Play well!  Good luck!

Rena Kaplan continued her tremendous run of success over the last few years making the final of the playoffs to decide the Australian Mixed team to compete in the World Championships in Italy this year.
